I’ve managed to get some more painting done this weekend, bringing the level of blue / grey-coloured models on my workstation to a higher level!  I’m working on several different models at the same time, mostly to keep it interesting.  The model I’m most proud of so far is my Wolf Guard in Terminator armour, armed with a Chain Fist and a Bolter.  Rather than painting individual heraldry on each of the Read more…

Most of the games of WH40K that I play are Objectives missions – basically securing pre-determined points on the table while denying them to the enemy.  Annihilation games are different.  As the name suggests, Kill Points are earned for entire units being wiped out.  Last Saturday I played my second Annihilation mission and I have to admit it was a lot closer than I thought it was going to be! The battle that I fought against Dom this afternoon included pretty much the exact same 1000pts army that I took against him at the club last week with just a couple of minor changes.  First of all, instead of two ten-man packs of Grey Hunters I took a ten-man pack and two five-man packs.  The only other change was that I took the Runic Armour away from the Rune Priest.  To make up the remaining 500pts Read more…
