The current run of work on my Space Wolves models has inspired me greatly so today while I had the models in front of me I decided to snap some pictures. The models are in pretty much the same state, with just a few more touches to be done before I declare them finished. Also this week, in order to make use of the remaining

I’ve been working lately on getting my rank and file Space Wolves painted up. To keep it interesting, I’ve also been painting the Predator (not in the 1000pts list) and my HQ choice, a converted Rune Priest. Work on the Rune Priest has been falling by the wayside recently so last night I decided to catch up a bit. The painting scheme is pretty much identical to the other Space Wolves I’ve painted thus far with a few more

I’ve managed to get some more painting done this weekend, bringing the level of blue / grey-coloured models on my workstation to a higher level! I’m working on several different models at the same time, mostly to keep it interesting. The model I’m most proud of so far is my Wolf Guard in Terminator armour, armed with a Chain Fist and a Bolter. Rather than painting individual heraldry on each of the

Most of the games of WH40K that I play are Objectives missions – basically securing pre-determined points on the table while denying them to the enemy. Annihilation games are different. As the name suggests, Kill Points are earned for entire units being wiped out. Last Saturday I played my second Annihilation mission and I have to admit it was a lot closer than I thought it was going to be!

Yes I have actually achieved some painting this weekend! What is perhaps more surprising is that I’ve kept to the same models I started recently for my Space Wolves. I’ve loosely followed the recipe laid down in the Games Workshop Online Tutorial and a couple of ideas of my own. I started off with painting the Wolf Guard in Power Armour I started earlier in the week and while I was waiting for bits of that to dry I also

Nemesis is the 15th release in the million-selling Horus Heresy series from Games Workshop’s Black Library and the 13th printed novel. It deals with the Imperial Assassin clades (clans) and an elite Execution Force assembled to end Horus Lupercal’s insurrection by killing the Primarch himself. However, the Heretic forces have already launched a similar plan…

The battle that I fought against Dom this afternoon included pretty much the exact same 1000pts army that I took against him at the club last week with just a couple of minor changes. First of all, instead of two ten-man packs of Grey Hunters I took a ten-man pack and two five-man packs. The only other change was that I took the Runic Armour away from the Rune Priest. To make up the remaining 500pts

Continuing in my current trend of experimental army lists, I have recently fought a 1000pts battle against Dom and his Blood Angels. The game was a pitched battle Seize Ground scenario with four Objectives.
Rather than recount the battle in its entirety, I will instead go over the highlights and any lessons I’ve learned during Read more…
